Robert Browning wrote a poem , called,'Along the Road'.
I walked a mile with pleasure, She chattered all the way, But left me none the wiser For all she had to say. I walked a mile with sorrow, And ne'er a word said she, But, oh,the things I learned from her When sorrow walked with me. In the book of Ecclesiastes 7 v 2 - 3, we read It is better to go to the house of mourning Than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart. Dear Lord, Teach us to number our days aright that that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Amen.
