Money. ( 1 Timothy 6 v 17 -19 )

Money,Money, Money                                                                                                                              Must be funny                                                                                                                                            In a rich mans world                                                                                                                                  All the things I would do,                                                                                                                          If I had a little money                                                                                                                                Money, Money, Money                                                                                                                              Always sunny in a rich                                                                                                                              mans world.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Consider this very popular song, and  what it is saying,''Money'', must be funny,in other words you will  always be happy if you have money, wrong, People with money are not always happy ,that would appear to be obvious, but its true. ,Next it speaks of a rich mans world, a friend told me about a couple who were worried ,they where down to their last million. What would you do if you had money, money, money, would you retire and go on a  permanent holiday,to some far away place, sit by the lovely swimming pool? The Bible tells us about a man who thought like that ,God said ,he was a fool, and that he was going to die, why? he had left God out of his life.Always sunny in a rich man's world. not so, even deserts have rain sometime. It is nice to have enough money to live on,but it 's foolish to live for money,it is nice to spend money on ones self, but the Bible tells us it is more blessed to give than receive. If God has blessed us with money,He did not bless us, so that we would make money our god . Riches are not forever, but our soul is,and one thing money cannot do, is save our souls, only God can do that, and He will if we will make Him our God and Saviour.

Broken Pieces. ( Psalm 147 v 3 )

I  broke a a glass container ,the pieces went everywhere, ,it reminded me of  so many peoples broken lives. .I think of many people whose lives where broken, through sinful habits, wrong behaviour, and how God healed and restored them, and give hope where there was no hope, peace where there was no peace, joy where there was no happiness.                                                                                                                                                                          Broken Pieces.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Have you failed in life's battle,to accomplish your plans?                                                                         Is your heart heavy laden? do you fear the Lord's command ?                                                                 Do feel that no one loves you and there's no use to try?                                                                               Just bring your cares to Jesus, your soul He'll satisfy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             You may feel that there's no hope, broken hearts just cannot mend;                                                           Tho you're torn in many pieces, Christ can make you whole again.                                                         Storms of doubt blow all directions, but don't you be afraid ;                                                                   God can make all corrections, He made a body out of clay.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Pick up the broken pieces ,and bring them to the Lord,                                                                            Pick up the broken pieces, trust in His holy word,                                                                                      He will put them back together and make your life complete,                                                                  Just place the broken pieces at the Saviour's   feet.                                                                                             (Words  Ruby Kitchen )

My substitute ( Isaiah 53 )

Most of  us will not remember Amaud Beltrame name ,but we will remember what he did,he was that very brave French police man who swapped places with a hostage in that terror attack in France. And of course he paid with his life, I heard the word substitute to describe what he did, but he did not only take the hostages place, but he died in her place. All right thinking people commend what Amaud did,but as a Christian I am familiar with with the concept of being a substitute. When Christ died He became my substitute,in 1 Peter 2 v 24  we read,  ''He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree''    The cross is symbolically seen as a tree, in Deuteronomy 21 v 23 ,we read ,''Anyone who is hung on a tree is under God's curse''.It is in Galatians 3  v 13 ,we read that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law,for it is impossible to fully keep Gods law (Romans 3 v 23 ) The Bible tells us that the whole world is a prisoner of sin,and the fact is there is consequences, ( Romans 6 v 23 )We  in our natural state are under the wrath of God, heading for the judgement of God. ( Hebrews 9 v 27 ).So in order to save us ,Christ through His death , paid the penalty, for our sins, and because He suffered we will not suffer, He became our substitute. The moment we repent and seek forgiveness we are accepted by God, forgiven by God, through Jesus. and we are granted eternal life, our destiny is heaven ,not hell,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Bearing shame and scoffing rude,                                                                                                              In my place condemned He stood;                                                                                                            Sealed my pardon with  His blood;                                                                                                                  Hallelujah, what a Saviour.                                                                                                                              ( Words,  P.P.Bliss )

You must be born again. ( 1 v 10 - 14 )

I just listened to a Gospel song, 'In the upper room with Jesus', what do you think it was like in the upper room?.Well it was Passover, so they where doing what most Jews where doing ,but things happened in that upper room ,in fact a lot happened. The things He did and the things He said,He washed the disciples feet, the act of a servant, for that is what  He was a servant, and the greatest service He could do for this world was to become a suffering servant..At times it appears the disciples understood all that was happening, other times they didn't,so many people today don' t know Jesus  who He was,why He  died on the cross. do you know why He died on the cross ?. You would have thought they would have understood who He really was and why He came, but it is not unusual for people who are brought up in a Christian home,to  fail to grasp what means to know Christ.Only a spiritual rebirth can open our eyes to spiritual realities,a very religious person came to Jesus, and when Jesus told him that he must be born again, he did not understand.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           .                                                                                                           I tell you the truth ,no one can see the                                                                                                        Kingdom of God unless he is born again.                                                                                                                     John 3 v 3

A sudden death. ( Hebrews 9 v 27 )

It is told that, when he was asked what kind of death he would desire,Julius Caesar  answered; 'A sudden one'.He of course he got his wish, when he was assassinated,  I suppose many people would like a sudden death, than a lingering one, which can cause so much pain to friends and family, as they watch someone suffering . Yes no one wants a slow lingering death, and of course as time goes on there will be more and more pressure, put unto the government  by people,to bring in a bill that will permit euthanasia.I realise that this subject is full of problems. At this stage I will not pass any comment on the rights and wrongs of this subject. As far as I am concerned in relation to death the most important thing is being ready, and what I mean is this, to  know Christ as our own and personal Saviour?. If you don't  I exhort you to trust Him now, Without Christ no one can enter heaven,no one,the alternative to heaven is Hell, and honestly do you really want to go there?.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Where will you spend eternity?                                                                                                                   The question comes to you and me,                                                                                                           Tell me,what shall your answer be-                                                                                                            where will you spend eternity?

The reality of His faithfulness. ( Psalm 91 )

I was out for my morning walk ,and as I passed a parked car, I read the following words on a sticker in that car,''Life Sucks''. I laughed at those words, and yet I know in a sense they are true, for many today ''Life Sucks''. I was just off the phone ,speaking to a dear Christian friends wife, whose husband is in hospital,do pray for them both. She was crying I sought to assure her of my prayers and love, and when I got off the phone I prayed for them.Earlier in the morning I had read these words, ''The reality of Gods faithfulness'',you see He makes all the difference in all our lives, even when life sucks, He has not forsaken us, I remember the words of that song,''He is a God of the mountains and a God of the valleys,a God of good times and a God of the bad times''.As I look back I can see ,I can remember, the reality of His faithfulness, when my dear first wife died, I felt so lonely, but my faithful God was there,by my side.He is with  my friends  and with you dear child of God, great is His faithfulness.

Our aim . ( 1 John 1 v 8 - 10 )

As you read the exhortations from 1 Thessalonians 5, what did you think  ?,because they are very challenging,we may think its impossible, they are to much.Yes if you yourself sought to practice those words , but the good news is God can help, He has given us His Spirit, not just a favoured few, that is if you are a true Christian, And so we read in Galatians  5 v 16, ''So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful flesh. So we have a choice, the flesh, given into our sinful nature,or submitting to Gods Holy Spirit. We will not always make the right choice, when we make the wrong choice, confess and repent, God will forgive and restore. ( 1 John 1 v 9 )                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Yield not to temptation for yielding is sin,                                                                                                Each victory will help you some other to win;                                                                                          Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue,                                                                                          Look ever to Jesus,He'll carry you through.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Shun evil companions, bad language disdain,                                                                                          God's name hold in reverence, nor take in vain;                                                                                        Be thoughtful and earnest, kind hearted and true;                                                                                      Look ever to Jesus, He'll carry you through.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  To him that o'ercometh God giveth a crown;                                                                                            Through faith we shall conquer, though often cast down;                                                                        He who is our Saviour our strength will renew;                                                                                        Look ever to Jesus, He'll carry you through.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Ask the Saviour to help you ,                                                                                                                    Comfort, strengthen, and keep you;                                                                                                          He is willing to aid you,                                                                                                                            He will carry you through.                                                                                                                             (Words/  H.R Palmer )

Avoid. ( 1 Thessalonians 5 v 22 )

Now we come to the last of the exhortations in 1 Thessalonians 5 .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              ''Avoid every kind of evil '' v 22.                                                                This must be one of the shortest   verses in the Bible, but all its shortness, it brings with it  words that we need to hear, constantly.Take the entertainment world, the movie industry, now from a child I loved movies, nothing pleased me more to go to the cinema, movies in those where censored  and  in contrast to today's movies were relevantly innocent. So after watching a modern movie ,I would hear myself saying ,why was I sucked in to watch it. Now the problem has been resolved as I can watch old movies on U Tube, that does not leaving feeling guilty. Now the question is this, for me it was movies, what do you need to avoid?

We have let slip. ( Genesis 6 v 1 - 8 )

Lets continue on looking at another exhortation from  1 Thessalonians 5.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  ''Hold on to the good'' ( v 21 )                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         We all know the saying ,'the good old days', where they good?  they where good but not totally,my memory   of the past was that the so called old days  where  not always good..We need to ask the question what is the writer of scripture telling us?.The  value of life, be it the elderly, or the child in the mothers womb, could it be moral standards, as opposed to so much that is immoral. As I watch sport I observe so much cheating, win at any cost mentality.Reject casual sex, oh no sex is not dirty,    its what we have made it,we must have sex at all cost, and for many there is a cost.Again we use to hear people speak of the good  book, the Bible, yet as a nation , it is ,the forgotten book. For in that old book we are reminded of something we don't want to hear about ,sin, hell, the need of a Saviour       we have let slip from our grasp that good book, full of  good news, the result is we wander around like lost sheep, for that's what we are,but let me remind you of Jesus, who came to rescue lost sheep.

Test everything. (Proverbs 3 v 5 )

We are coming near the end of the exhortations in 1 Thessalonians  5 v 13 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        ''Test  everything '' v 21                                                                    I have a set of New Testament ,daily study helps,I  considered them highly, because of the help I received in my sermon preparation. The author appeared to indicate that he held to the deity of Christ,so I purchased  the authors ,' Spiritual Autobiography ' and in there he clearly declares  that Christ is not God, that everyone is going to be saved, and death of  Christ was not a sacrifice for sin.He himself said that he was no theologian , you would in light of this ,think he would have had the humility to look to them, for guidance, but not so. So take heed to those words, ''Test Everything'', hold fast to what scripture clearly teaches.

No picking and choosing . ( 2 Timothy 3 v 16 )

Lets continue  considering the exhortations in 1 Thessalonians 5 v 13 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    ''Do not put out the Spirits fire'' ( v 19 )                                                                                                                                                                                                                         The context of these words, is how we respond to God speaking to us, especially as John Stott writes the apostolic documents ,the so called letters sent by the different apostles, and others. These are to be seen as Gods word on a level with the Old Testament Scriptures. There are people who do not like Pauls writing,as there  are people who don't like the OT. We cannot pick and choose ,for all scripture   is Gods word, and must be accepted as such, when we refuse to listen to it,we  are guilty of putting out the Spirits fire.

Give thanks in all circumstances. ( Habakkuk 3 v 16 - 19 )

Continuing  looking at the exhortations in 1 Thessalonians 5 v 13 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ''Give thanks in all circumstances , for this is                                                                                             God's will for you in Christ Jesus.''  ( v  18 )                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Now it does say, give thanks for all circumstances, but in all circumstances, there is a difference, I  . appreciate some terrible things happen to Gods children , but I believe that in the darkest   hour the hidden hand of Gods providence is at work, and working all things out for the good of His children.  ( Romans 8 v 28 )                                                                                                                                                                                 .                                                                                                                                                                     Dear loving Heavenly Father ,grant us grace                                                                                            to praise you ,irrespective of our circumstances                                                                                        in Jesus name Amen.

Pray. ( Luke 18 v 1 )

Lets continue to consider 1 Thessalonians 5 v 14 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          '' Pray continually ''(v 17)                                                                     I want to share what I read in one of my devotional readings,it  uses the KJV ,                                                                                              ''Pray  without ceasing''                                                                        ''It means start your day with prayer, and continue praying off and on throughout the day. Pray as you drive.Pray at work. Pray before your lunch break. Pray when you get that difficult phone call. Pray when you're disappointed by something . Pray when surprises come  . Pray when you triumph. Pray in the midst of painful news. Pray without ceasing''                                                                                                                                   ( Word for today by Bob and Debby Gass )

Joy. ( Nehemiah 8 v 10 )

Lets continue to consider the exhortations from 1 Thessalonians 5 v 14 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     ''Be joyful always, pray continually, gave thanks in all                                                                              circumstances, for this is Gods will for you in Christ                                                                                Jesus.                                                                                                                       I  wonder which one of these you find hard ,be joyful always, does that mean I go through the day with a forced grin on my face, I don't think so I , it appears an impossible thing to ask. until we realise that this is not a natural experience, it is a spiritual gift, which we can experience, let us ask God that we may know this Joy.                                                                                                                                                                      Dear God grant unto us that lovely fruit of                                                                                                 Spiritual joy, lift from our spirit a moody                                                                                                      miserable spirit and replace it with your joy.                                                                                                          In Jesus name. Amen.

Getting ones own back. ( Luke 6 v 27 - 36 )

So we move on considering the exhortations in 1 Thessalonians 5 v 14 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          '' Make sure that nobody pays back wrong                                                                                                   for wrong, but always strive to do good for                                                                                               each other and for everyone else.''                                                                   I like J.B. Phillips translation of this verse.                                                                                                                                         ''Be sure that no one repays a bad turn by a                                                                                                bad turn; good should be your objective                                                                                                   always, among yourselves and in the world                                                                                               at large''                                                                                                              There is a lot of wrong things ,unjust things happening to many people, acid  being thrown at people , it was challenging to hear a young man on the news who experienced such an attack, saying he forgave the person who did it. He realised that justice must be carried out,but on a personal level he forgave him.

This do. ( 1 Thessalonians 5 v 12ff )

In 1 Thessalonians 5 v 12ff the apostle Paul  finishes his letter with words of instruction, I want to leave a number of them with you.
'' Live in peace with each other. ''                                                           These words are spoken to Christians, we are not meant to be at war with our fellow brothers, and sister's, if you are at war with some fellow Christian, its time you made peace with them.                                                                            ''Encourage the timid''                                                                          The   Christian life is a challenge, everyone is not courageous, I  received a word of thanks for a gift   I had given to someone,he was thankful, but he ended by saying it also was an encouragement.                                                                  '' Help the weak''                                                                                We are all weak to some extent, but there are those who feel their weakness more than others, lets us not judge them, but help them.

, The choice is ours. ( Jeremiah 21 v 8 )

We continue to look at the consequences of Achan's sin , now let us consider what David G. Firth has to say,'' Jericho represents the possibility for Israel when they obey Yahweh . By contrast, Ai shows how sin within Israel makes them enemies, though sin will not have the last word. Nevertheless, this is a story that shows a little sin goes a long way,and just as a small piece of yeast affects a whole lump of dough , so the sin of one affects the whole community. In spite of claims that certain activities ' do not hurt anyone else ' and should therefore be accepted, this passage ( Joshua 7 ) is clear that sin does not work that  way. Sin is never isolated because that sin will  affect other aspects of our life and, even if only indirectly , the community of which we are a part'' The word of God tells us of the consequence of Adam's sin  in Romans 5 v12, that sin has been passed on to the whole of humanity, and its consequences,  sin and death. The history of mankind shows our sinful nature, our life history shows are sinful nature, we are separated from God and a relationship with Him  .There is a heaven there is a hell, because of our sin we cannot go to heaven and we will go to heaven. Here is the good news Jesus death on the cross means that when we trust Him sin is completely dealt with, and its  heaven, here we come.

Be patient ( 2 Peter 3 v 9 )

Let us continue to consider the exhortations in 1 Thessalonians 5 v  13 ff.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   ''Be patient with everyone.''                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Mankind has not changed since this was written ,look out in the world, so many are in a hurry, not very patient . I remember years ago asking a man selling papers the way to the place I was going, he told me but I did not understand. I said that to him and he became very abusive ,it was obvious he lacked patience. We are not just told to be patient ,but to be patient with everyone  ,now that's a challenge , let us all remember ,how God is patient with you and me.

It just happened. ( Genesis 1 v 1 )

Had a time away for a few days, in the county of Dorset,we stayed on a site in a cabin, with one of my sons, his wife and grandson aged two . One of the pleasures we enjoyed was that of seeing  squirrels, ducks, robins, deer's,we also visited monkey world, we really enjoyed our time away, seeing the wonder of Gods creation,it did not just happen,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              All things  bright and beautiful,                                                                                                                 All creatures great and small,                                                                                                                     All  things wise and wonderful,                                                                                                                 The Lord God made them all                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Each little flower that opens,                                                                                                                     Each little bird that sings,                                                                                                                           He made there glowing colours,                                                                                                                 He made their tiny wings.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             He gave us eyes to see them,                                                                                                                     And lips that we might tell,                                                                                                                       How great is God  Almighty,                                                                                                                     Who has done all things well.                                                                                                                    ( Words...Mrs. C.F.Alexander )

Billy Graham ( Acts 1 v 8 )

I watched on Utube Billy Graham ministering to a stadium filled with thousands of people, and listened to him preach. At the end of the service hundreds of people made their way down to the front of  the stadium to hopefully trust Jesus. The sermon he had preached was so clear I wrote most of it down ,it blessed me greatly, as far as I could judge ,Billy was a very faithful  servant of God , I call him Billy for that's what he will always be to me , he was a signpost pointing millions of people to Christ. If we are Christians, like Billy,we are called to be faithful, to be signposts, pointing people to Jesus. Billy was a man of God ,now he is with the Lord.    I read the following by John Piper                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             May it be so that when you are dead                                                                                                         and gone, the people you love and serve                                                                                                   will say, ''This one knew God. This one                                                                                                     loved God and lived for the glory of                                                                                                         God and showed us God day after day.                                                                                                     This one, as the apostle said, was filled                                                                                                      with all the fullness of  God.   ( Eph 3 v 19 )

In the beginning. ( Genesis 1 - 2 )

Listening to the radio, I heard a presenter tell us,that for a long time the belief among the school of scientist taught that the universe was eternal,in other words ,it always existed. But now they have realised that in fact there was a beginning,as I listened , I said to myself, I could have told them that years ago. Now don't get me wrong we owe a lot to scientist, but because a person is a scientist ,does not mean  he or she is infallible, yet it does appear that they also have their ''Popes''. A priest went to Einstein with a discovery that the universe is expanding, Einstein made little of him, and his theory, but lo and behold ,most scientist agree with that priest. Pride puffs people up, especially when it comes to scientist, humility is dreadfully lacking, among the egg heads of the scientific world, especially when it comes to creation,or should I say chance, all I can say in my limited knowledge ,that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Because He says so. ( Matthew 2 8 v 20 )

I was sending a birthday card to one  of my grandsons, and I wrote this in his card                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            'He will guide you,                                                                                                                                     He will help you,                                                                                                                                       He will be with you.                                                                                                                         Because He says so, and He always keeps                                                                                                 His word.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          What I  wrote for my grandson, applies to all who know Christ as Saviour,so  look to Him child of God, for guidance, for help, knowing that He is with you, because He says so ,and He always keeps His word.

Our plan. ( Acts 16 v 6 )

Just finished reading about John Calvin, he was a very godly man,one the greatest scholars in the history of Christendom .I mentioned a while back about Hezekiah who was seen as the golden boy ,and I commented on this, that he was not pure gold, this could be applied to John Calvin, David had his Uriah, none of us our pure gold.  Calvin was a studious person, and what he wanted to do was study and write, promoting as John Piper writes, the Reformed faith. J.P writes the following, ''This is what he thought he was cut out for by nature. But God had radically different plans- as He had for Augustine and Luther- and for many of us who did not plan our lives the way they have turned out'' Think how the apostles lives where turned round, from being  fishermen, to being  fishers of men,David a shepherd in charge of his fathers sheep,to being shepherd king.Dr Barnardo  going to be a missionary,   in China ,instead he became the founder of a wonderful ministry for dear needy children.Always keep in mind ,your plans may not be Gods plans. All these dear people left behind a wonderful legacy  that continues to bless mankind..

What is the point of praying?. ( Luke 18 v 1 )

I want us to consider prayer ,why do we have to pray?,will it make any difference?, and the answer is yes. I found some helpful insight from Alec Motyer , ''We are aware that the Lord knows the end from the beginning and that he  has not only planned both  the beginning and the end but also plotted the course in between.'' Now that is where many people stop, seeing  prayer as a pointless exercise , but    A.M goes on to say,''There is at the heart of Gods changelessness a ,' mystery', a revealed secret, that the sovereign, unchangeable God accomplishes his purposes through the prayers of his people'' We see this throughout the scriptures,Gods people pray, for deliverance, healing, guidance, so on.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Alec Motyer.                                                                                                                       '' Prayer is one of the 'laws of God' by which he                                                                                           runs his world.''

Dunkirk. ( Ephesians 3 v 20 - 21 )

A writer asks this question about what role prayer played in the miracle of Dunkirk ?.we will touch on this,I have read a good deal on the 2nd world war ,and how powerful the German army was,Hitler had been preparing for that event. We see this when we consider how easily he conquered most of Europe  ,so lets consider Dunkirk in 1940  the German forces had trapped the British ,and French armies, there was no way out.Yet the German forces failed to take advantage ,they held back, well Hitler felt that the British would come to the negotiating table like the French. What ever the reason he held his army back,so enabling 350,000 , troops to be rescued . Now coinciding with all this the then King ,George V1, called for a week of prayer, so up and down the country churches joined in prayer, I believed strongly that it resulted in what one could call the miracle of Dunkirk.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Alfred Tennyson.                                                                                                            ''More things are wrought by prayer than this world                                                                                  dreams of.''

From victory to defeat. ( Joshua 6 - 7 )

I just read something very interesting ,and it it is based on a man called Achan, we read about him in the book of Joshua. Israel had just entered the promised land, they were promised it by God ( Gen 13 v15) So it came to pass but they had as a nation to go defeat those who occupied the land, and live there. The first place they came to was Jericho,of course  it was Gods victory, there part was to obey God completely, they where told not to take any of the plunder,it would be dedicated it to God.It appeared that everything had gone to plan, until the next battle, a little town called  Ai,and it was there they experienced defeat, which really discouraged them, but God spoke and told them someone had ,no he did say that ,He said Israel had acted unfaithfully ,and took  to itself  that which was Gods. The person who did this was Achan,Thirty six people had died ,and defeat was the result of his sin.but the blame was put on everyone. That's the way God saw it, I will continue this the next time, I will leave you with this thought, never underestimate your sins and its effect on yourself and others.

The wonder of it all. ( Galatians 2 v 20 )

With the death of dear Billy Graham my mind went to my early Christian day, when I bought records of lovely George Bev Shea singing. Just recently I heard a recording of him singing a song he wrote,I first heard this song sung in the church I attended,by a man called Ken Maxwell ,I was truly blessed when I heard it, I never forgot it,the name of that song is, ''The wonder of it all'',it was Bev Shea who also wrote the words, so I will leave it with you, may God bless these words to you..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   There's the wonder of sunset at evening,                                                                                                   The wonder as sunrise I see,                                                                                                                       But the wonder of wonders, that thrills my soul,                                                                                       Is the wonder that God loves me.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Oh the wonder of it all,                                                                                                                             The wonder of it all,                                                                                                                                   Just to think that God loves me /you,                                                                                                         O, the wonder of it all,                                                                                                                               Just to think that God loves me/ you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             There's the wonder of springtime and harvest,                                                                                           The sky,the stars the sun,                                                                                                                            But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul,                                                                                       Is the wonder that's only begun.                                                                                                             (Bev Shea sung at B.G  gospel events )
