All your cares,All your anxiety (Hebrews 4 v 15-16)

Here are two verses,'Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken' (Psalm 55 v22) 'Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you'.( 1 Peter  5 v7)Both these verses tell us to cast our cares/anxieties upon the Lord. The first verse tell us the result of doing that, the Lord will sustain us.I was speaking to a lady who has been through so much, her husband of many years got dementia, during that time he became very agressive towards her,and their was a point when he tried to strangle her, the police had to come and take him away, his dementia lasted about 5 yrs. The whole experience was terrible  and I said  to her ,it was only the Lord that sustained her,and she agreed. We wonder how we are going to get through certain situations, the Lord's  sustaining grace will bring us through. The next verse tells us,'Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you'.yes He cares for you,no one cares for us more, you may be doubting that, the devil may be whispering ,'how can he care for you, look at all that you are going through, don't believe that liar. I will leave some lovely words from an old song.

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained

To  deeply for mirth or song?

                                                When the burdens press,

                                                 And the cares distress

And the way grows weary and long.

Oh yes He cares,I know He cares

His heart is touched with my grief.

                                                  When the days are  weary,

                                                   The long nights dreary

                                                    I KNOW MY SAVIOUR

                                                              CARES'
