Two sides of the coin

I have just been looking a Psalms 90-91 ,the Psalms of Moses,they are prayers , of contrast, one dwells on how transient life is,the mood of the psalm is dark ,consider v9[niv] we finish our years with a moan. The next dwells on encouragement , on God, who saves,comforts,protects.,the question is, what are we going to dwell on ?

JESUS

Do you ever look at a scenic view , and are filled with wonder at the beauty of it ,yet the greatest wonder of all ,Jesus loves us, yes us ,you and me ,now thats a wonder.

The word of God

The Psalms have so much to say to us, consider words like Psalm 119v11, [your word have i hidden in my heart that i may not sin against thee] some person said ,the word of God will keep us from sin, sin will keep us from the word of God,read the word of God ,memorize it, obey it

Burdens

Psalm 55 v22 reads [cast thy burden upon the Lord,and He shall sustain thee:He shall never suffer thy righteousness to be moved.[he will never let the righteous fall] its all so easy to do ,yet so often ,we dont , try it today.

Grace

Recieved a loan of a lovely C/D ,called [your still God] by Godfrey Birtill ,one track on it has these words , [ Oh outrageous grace, Oh outrageous grace] an old man asked me the meaning of grace, it is recieving what we dont deserve, from start to finish, through Christ ,it trully is ,outrageous grace.

Honour God

1 Samuel 2 v30. reads, them that honour me i will honour them,it lays two things before us, what we are to do, honour Him, what He will do,He will honour us, this is the challenge facing us today.

pray

One thing we can never do, to much of is to pray,we can spend to much ,eat to much, talk to much, but we can never pray to much.
