A crime scene. ( Romans 5 v 1-11)

I recently read of a kidnap victim, called Stephanie, she was held captive for eight days, handcuffed,  gagged and blindfolded, put into a coffin like box, locked a wheelie bin.The perpetrator had previously kidnapped an 18yr old girl, whom he murdered. He raped Stephanie, but he set her free, near her home, she struggled to her door and it was opened by a liaison officer. Her father rushed to to comfort her,and what was dreadful,he was refrained from doing that ,and she was taken away into another room. The reason given was that they needed to get information from her,so they questioned her ,a police surgeon came, made her strip down, not in a very private place, there was no empathy,or gentleness shown to her,to them she was just a walking crime scene. I was so angry and saddened when I read this, she was a victim twice over, and I thought  to myself, she was not a crime scene, nor was she statistic, she was a fellow human being. The message of Christianity is this, that God loves the world ,( John 3 v16),that does not mean He overlooks the  sinfulness of humanity,it means He offers them (you and me),forgiveness, through Jesus Christ, because He would have everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2 v4 ).If you not a Christian, don't reject His offer of love,Jesus sacrifice on that cross, don't turn Him away.
