OUR warrior King. ( Revelation 6 v 1-2 )

It is remembrance  Sunday in which we remember those who fought and died in many wars,my grandfather was wounded in the first world ,my uncle was a prisoner of war in the Korean war,and my oldest brother fought in Sarawak against communist. But let us remember the greatest war that has ever taken place, and the greatest sacrifice ever made was Calvary. There was so much at stake ,mankind enslaved by sin and Satan, prisoners  ,without hope and without God,hell beckoned ,heavens doors were firmly closed. The answer ,the only answer to that situation was for Christ to come forth and do battle, with sin ,Satan, and death. There was no one else that could do it,and so our courageous Saviour went forth and won the victory,a victory that brought hope to a fallen race,a victory that brought a way back to God from the dark paths of sin,and opened a door in which all could go in.

'There is a green hill far away ,outside a city wall,

Where the dear Lord was crucified ,who died to save us all.

We may not know, we cannot tell, what pain He had to bear,

But we believe it was for us,He hung and suffered there.

He died that we might be forgiven, He died to make us good,

That we might go at last to heaven, saved by His precious blood.

There was no other good enough to pray the price of sin,

He only could unlock the gate of heaven, and let us in.

O dearly, dearly has He loved, and we must love Him to,

And trust in His redeeming blood, and try His works to do.'
